Hi again! I hope everyone's doing well:) I'm finally on the uphill side of a nasty flu (and considering I need to fly across the country on Tuesday, I'm very excited about this). I actually want to show you what's on my nails this very second: NYC Plaza Plumberry. This is probably my favorite color of the season, I love how dark and shiny it is and it just makes me feel a little more sophisticated when I wear it. It goes so well with every outfit too, so I think I might need to keep this on for a while! This was 2 super easy coats. It's not quite this black-leaning IRL, which I like. I think it's a pretty close dupe of Zoya Casey also! I got Casey for my mom for Christmas and just from looking at the bottles, I think you could go with either for the same look. But while PP is 99 cents, Zoyas are more expensive. So your call:)

A Black and White Twinsie Tuesday
Hey ladies! Sorry this is late, I scheduled it for the wrong day, I'm a doofus. Anway, I hope everyone's December is going well! I'm basically drowning under finals and papers and projects, so without further ado, here's 2 Black and White manis! Both glitter toppers are made by me just for fun :] The first is over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and the second over Wet N Wild Black Creme.

Darwin
Hi all! Thank you for your concern yesterday and for reading my rant! The landlord finally did something right and sent someone professional to fix the oil leak and our heat is back on. Plus, our house smells normal again! Finally:] Anyway, I have another Lyn B Designs polish for you today. I saw this over on Chelsea's blog a little while ago and when I decided to order a few polishes, I had to include this one. Darwin is from the Gender Benders collection, 14 polishes named after unusual male names. This is just 2 coats of polish and it really looks like galaxy nails. I love how strong the shimmer was in this one. And the holo glitter was really great, it shines through SO well, not covered up or bumpy looking. Basically, it's a great idea and great execution on this polish. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Supernova Springs Layered
Happy Friday! I'm currently trying to put off cleaning my mess of a room.. Every time I start mixing polish, I apparently decide that nothing else matters, so it becomes a huge mess of piles everywhere. I'm the worst... haha. So now Supernatural is on and I'm going through the piles in my room in attempts to live like real people do lol. I'd take a picture to show you, but you'd probably shun me from society.
But at least my nails are pretty? I'm still on this huge indie kick [indie sale to come soon haha], and Hare Polish is definitely one of my favorite lines out there. I have almost all of her polishes and they are insanely stunning. This is one of my favorites of hers and I am SO happy with how this mani turned out. Also, there's a leaf on my fingers because my cuticles are angry right now. Pay it no mind;] I wore Supernova Springs over 2 coats of an unnamed Elf polish:]
Also, I'm trying out this larger picture size... Yay or nay? Have a great weekend everyone! <3 p="p">3>

Not Too Polished Review
Hello all! First things first, Irina from Gilded Feathers guessed it right, the polish was Winterfell from Not Too Polished! So Irina, if you see this, email me at sarahsnailblog@gmail.com please:]
Onto the review! There's a lot of pictures in this post, but seriously, you need to see them. Before I start, I need to say that all of these has an amazing formula. All were 2 coats with the exception of Tonks, which was a 3 coater] and Wolfsbane [a glitter topcoat]. My jaw dropped multiple times when swatching these. I kept being impressed over and over again with every nail I painted. Really great formula and the colors were also just great. There were some in here that I took a chance on liking, and I am SO glad I did. I love all of these, they literally are all a hit. And
Can you tell how much I love these? I am so happy with these choices and the polishes are really stunning. I was so excited putting these on and I truly loved wearing them. If you haven't gone over to Not Too Polished's Etsy, you NEED to. I really think this is one of my favorite Etsy shops.
*Some of these polishes shown were provided to me for my fair, honest, and unbiased review*

So, while there's a lot of versions of red-glitter-in-black-base polishes, I'm a big fan of this for a lot of reasons. First, you get a LOT of glitter. Clearly a big fan of that! And second, this is completely opaque in 2 coats. So it wins in my book :]
!!This polish is named after the House Stark in the Song of Ice and Fire series/Game of Thrones show. And really, look how perfectly this captures the winter-y feel! I can't stop staring at the layers of glitter in this, those white glitters looks just like snow falling. And the shimmer looks just like frost. It's just so.. wow.
Red and gold makes one of my favorite combinations. And this is really well done! The red is a little more raspberry than straight red and the glitter is so reflective and really holo-y in person. Also, Harry Potter. I had to get it. I want a Ron and a Harry inspired polish!!
This is the only non-glitter I got this time. It's a great blue [with some grey thrown in] jelly-creme. And SO shiny. The formula was so even and went on really smoothly. I love the colors in this collection, I had such a hard time choosing one. I'll definitely need to pick up Dessicate, Flesh, Bone, and Blood soon.
Black and gold also holds a place in my heart. And look at this! It's just so shiny IRL, I died. The glitter is really similar to the glitter in Granger, really holo and reflective. Another win!
!!!
New favorite grey. I love love love the glitter in this base color, it is amazing. And perfect in 2 coats, which is really great for a light polish like this. This is probably my favorite out of the bunch, which was such a hard decision to make. Also, I really love Alice in Wonderland. I wrote my senior paper about it in high school!
Okay, so bubblegum pink is not usually my thing. BUT... I love this one too. The shade of pink just makes me happy and the contrasting color of the glitter really just works so well. And I'm a fan of the shimmer in here, it's really pretty.
The shimmer in this is so complex and gorgeous. Just look at how many colors there are in there! This was the only one of these that needed more than 2 coats, I have 3 coats on here. I want to try this over a light yellow creme and see if I can preserve the polish that way.
This is over a really pale pink and I love the combination of colors here. Eee, look at how great those colors look together. The white and yellow and brown really work and feel so fall-y. I feel like any more gushing would just be redundant, so I'll stop here :]

Aphrodite Lacquers Review!
Hey ladies! I have a really fun review for you today, I'm really excited to share it. Aphrodite Lacquers has some really amazing polishes and I was lucky enough to receive some minis for review, so I went on a swatchfest last night! The first three are from the Outta This World collection, and the second three are from the Romance Novel collection. Let's get started! [Descriptions in quotations are taken from the Aphrodite Lacquers Etsy listings]
"Blackhole: black jelly polish with 3 different size black hex glitter."
"Asteroid: black polish (jellyish), with huge white glitter, small silver glitter, and silver shimmer."
Secret:"Hot pink jelly base, packed full of dark pink micro glitter, and white glitter"
Enchant: "Aqua jelly base, packed full of green micro glitter, and white glitter"
Notes on the Romance Novel collection: These 3 are definitely my favorites of the group. The colors are vibrant, the small glitter is so pretty, and I love the mix of the medium white glitter with the jelly bases. These had no problem at all with the pigments. And I was surprised at how opaque they were! Especially Secret, that was a surprise stand out for me. Enchant was definitely full coverage IRL, as well. I'm a huge fan of this collection, it definitely makes me want the other polishes in it. Secret is definitely going with me to camp, also. I'm pretty enamored by it, which is weird for me. Pinks are generally not my thing, but there's something about it!
What do you all think of these polishes? Aphrodite Lacquers has a new collection coming out next week, as well. I can't wait to see it!! Also, the customer service at AL is really great. She's such a sweetheart to work with as a reviewer, but also as a buyer.
*Disclaimer: these polishes were provided to me in return for an honest and fair review. All opinions are my own*

Notes on Outta This World: the three polishes I got from this collection all applied pretty well, had a good consistency and covered really well in 3 coats. However, there was a lot of streakiness in the black pigment used, which made it hard to use over light colors. I'm going to try them over a dark-ish red or something soon, I think that would be a nice effect. Also, it was a little hard to get the larger glitter out of the bottles, but I think that's in part due to the fact that these are mini bottles.

Sparkles by Julie Review
Hello, all! Today I have a new-to-me indie brand, Sparkles by Julie, to show off! I got 3 of her lovely polishes a little while ago and she was incredibly sweet about setting up a listing for me, and according to her Etsy shop description, she's hurt her wrist:[ So I'm sending some get-well-soon wishes her way!
So in addition to being really nice, Julie has also got some great polishes. I got 3 of her minis and I actually do love them all. Pictures first, more talk later. 2 coats on each polish, by the way:]
Water Lily
Lost in Space
Coco
Are you as in love with these as I am?! I can't even. Water Lily has got to be my favorite at the moment, though I know I'm going to be wearing Coco all autumn long. Plus, 2 coats and they're really opaque. I didn't have any problem at all with the formula, really great and flowed well for me. Anyway, I'm off to sit in the sun, since it's the first nice day we've had in a while here!
