Aphrodite Lacquers Review!

Happy Sunday, everyone. I just moved back to school yesterday, and I hate hate hate unpacking, so this is my break:] I have 2 lovely glitters from Aphrodite Lacquers today. They're both from the Friday Night Glitter Bombs collection just out, and when Rebecca and I were talking, she mentioned that they'd be great for jelly sandwiches. So that's exactly what I did!

Over 2 coats of Wet N Wild Fuchsia-Rama

Sandwiched between Fuchsia-Rama!

Eeeee! Catfight is described as "sheer red polish, with a pinkish purple shimmer, and multiple different red, black, and white glitters, including small red round holo glitters". The shimmer just would not show up on camera, but it's really nice IRL. I'm a sucker for pink and red combos, so this had me sold. I'll definitely be wearing this over 3 coats of Fuchsia-Rama next time. Also, I keep thinking of this polish as Catfish, not Catfight...

Disco Ball over Essie Berry Naughty

Over Berry Naughty, under Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl

Disco Ball is described as "sheer polish, with a silver shimmer, and multiple different silver, black, and white glitter". Shimmer city here! I love the black glitter over the dark base, and I like how the purple shimmer of Daddy's Girl looks over the white square glitters:]

With both of these, the formula was good and the glitter was pretty easy to get on the nail and spread. I love the addition of the shimmer, it makes the polish just a little more special to me. And again, Aphrodite Lacquers can be found here!

Nail Clouds!

So I was inspired by this week's color blocking TT post! I decided to do some more nail art [I know. Weird!] -ish stuff and did a nail cloud mani! This was actually really easy, and I really love the whole effect. Like a funky french, but more... bubbly looking. AND I get to use 3 colors at once! Always a plus. I did this one with Revlon Provence, then Barry M Raspberry, then Sinful Colors Rainstorm for the last clouds:]

Provence on its own. For some reason, I wasn't a big fan of this polish on me. I gave it away, I think I'm gonna stick with Essie Lilacism for now..

Sorry about the wear, this was after 2 days! I must have really liked this mani haha

Girly-Girl Challenge Day 1!

Hello ladies! Today, I'll be showing you my first post of a challenge I'm taking part in that Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog came up with: the Girly-Girl Challenge! I've been trying to branch out with my polish choices, so I thought this would be the perfect way:] Here's all the challenges:

Cute, right?? So for the first day, I have on 2 coats of Sally Hansen Crinoline, 1 coat Lynnderella Boy-Girl Party, and then the little Nailside-inspired clouds done with OPI Manicurist of Seville and Sinful Colors Zeus.

I love the shimmer in Zeus!:] So I'm not sure if this is my favorite pink [I don't think I have one!], but I really loved wearing this! It made me really happy

The $2 Manicure

Hello everyone! Hope your weeks are going well thus far:] Today I have a $2 layering mani for you that is so easy and pretty. I just used Sinful Colors Hottie and Daddys Girl and I got this sparkly, deep, pretty purple mani, and I love it! I used 1 coat of Daddys Girl, 1 coat of Hottie, then 2 more coats of Daddy's Girl. Enjoy!

The best part about this is that Sinful Colors polishes are so cheap!! I love it:] You could do basically the same look with Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz, if you have that. And Hottie is a dupe for OPI Last Friday Night! :] So you're set with any of those.

How's everyone's week so far? Mine is hectic, but I'm loving it:]

Extreme Layering: Home Edition

Hello, everyone! It's Sunday! Which means my finals are soon:/ Meh.

Well, while I wasn't studying last night, I was looking [read: drooling] over the Finger Paints flakies and decided to do a layering mani [again haha]. I did 2 coats of Icing Vampire's Blood, sent to me from the amaaaaaazing Amanda from Amandalandish followed by 1 coat of China Glaze Ring in the Red, then 1 coat Sinful Colors Green Ocean, and finally 1 coat LA Girls Glitter Addict Eutopia. Yes, this was craziness. No, I am naaaaht looking forward to taking this off.

Franken: This is Halloween

Hi, everyone! I'm super excited to show this fraken today, I think it's so Halloweeny:] Hence the name This is Halloween! I started with a base of Sinful Colors All About You & added this burnt orange glitter I got from ebay, Red Rose & Black glitter from Art Institute Glitter, then Sinful Colors Call You Later for some contrast with the green glitter:] Okay, less talking, more pictures!

Blurred to show the sparkliness.

This is 2 coats of polish with like 4 coats of top coat... it kept sucking the top coat up!!
So what do you think?? Halloweeny enough?:]
