Liquid Lacquer Review Post!

*Some of the polishes in this post were provided to me for my honest review, others were purchased with my own money*

Hey all! I have some seriously great polishes to show you today. They're from the wonderful Liquid Lacquer,  and I am so excited to show them to you all!

A Calm Does Not Suit Me

Uhm, hi, how great is this one? It reminds me of snow, which is great when I'm dying of the humidity in Jersey. ACDNSM is a gorgeous polish, and it was opaque in 2 coats on me! I love the way the glitters look like they're floating in the whtie crelly base. And such a good choice on the glitter colors, it's not a crazy rainbow jumble, and it goes so well all together.
Formula: great! Lots of glitter on the nail, covered VNL easily.

Collide into You

CiY took me 3 thin coats, but so worth it! This is on its own, and I am obsessed with the magenta circles with this shade of turquoise! I also really love how this shade looks on me, so it was a definite winner.
Formula: good! Glitter was easy to get onto nail, not too thick base.

Damn It's Cold over Essie Boxer Shorts

This glitter is in a clear base, so I put it over Boxer Shorts. This polish, to me, reminds me of  ACDNSM, just not in a crelly base. Like it's the same color family, but you can put it over anything:] I saw a swatch of it over dark blue, over at A Little Polish... loooove!
Formula: good amount of glitter with one coat!

Hydra over Sally Hansen Ion

Yes yes yes. This is all sorts of perfect! And probably my favorite glitter topper I have in my collection. I'm obsessed with the color combinations on this one! The different shaped mint and grey glitters are so subtly beautiful together! I wore this mani twice in two weeks, I loved how it looked on the nail. Also the stars? Perfect.
Formula: good! easy to get  smaller glitters on nail, a tiny bit of fishing to get stars.

Kissing on the Rooftop over OPI Funny Bunny

Okay, all the yellowy or orangey parts you see there? Ignore them and imagine them as iridescent glitter. Makes the whole mani a zillion times better, trust me.
Formula: also great, not hard to get stars, iridescent glitters are abundant in one coat.

Quarter Life Crisis over China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On

Love the circles so much in this, and the color combination is really fun for spring and summer!
Formula: eh, not as good as hoped, just wish there was more glitter in the base, had to do some digging and placing here.

Rain Song

Stunninggggggggggg. You need this. Right now. I LOVE unexpected holo colors and this is in my top 5 holos. The effect is definitely more linear IRL, trust me. And the shade is gorrrrrrrrrrrrrgeous. Get it. Now.
Formula: great! Two coats, and good to go.

In conclusion- just trust me and get Rain Song and Hydra, because I love them too much. It's not even funny. Totally great polishes, great customer service, and fast shipping. Definitely go check out Liquid Lacquer! I can't wait to place another order. I'm definitely in need of more holos from her!

Some LynBDesigns Polishes!

*Polishes in post were provided for my honest review*

Hey all! I have some really fun polishes from LynBDesigns from her Twitterpatted collection. Just a note on formula: all of these polishes had a smooth formula with no difficulty of getting nice sparkle on the nail. All were sheer, and so I have some layering options for you below:] 4 coats on index finger for all of these pictures, then one coat over differing base colors for my middle to pinky nails.

Dharma: Alone, over OPI You Only Live Twice, Orly Wild Wisteria, and CG Snap My Dragon.
This was a super fun color! I've been really into pinks lately and this has some gorgeous blue shimmer running through it. I loved it over the OPI, it took the polish to the next level.

Verna: Alone, over Revlon Royal, SH Breezy Blue, Zoya Natty
Okay, I think Verna over Royal is amazing, but I also loved it over the light blue! Very pretty!! Like

Harriet: alone, over BL The Old Bill, OPI My Vampire is Buff, Cult Nails Bitten.
Favorite look: alone! It's such a complex shimmer this has going on, and I really liked it with my skin tone. A huge huge fan of this one!

Millie: alone, over Essie Where's my Chauffeur?, Revlon  Velvet Rope, CG Manhunt

Stella: alone, over Essie Where's my Chauffeur?, Revlon  Velvet Rope, CG Manhunt

Okay, these two clearly can't be worn alone, but I LOVE THEM. These are my favorites of the collection! They're just both really delicate and sparkly without being overbearing and just..ahh. Yes. They're both so pretty over WMC? !!

PS Please check out my blog sale here ! Some ass broke off my passenger mirror on my car and I'm selling my excess polishes to pay for it. Thank you!!!

Where's My Chauffeur plus glitter!

Hey lovelies. It's my last day of finals, which means it's my last completely stressed out day of the year! I'm taking my Arabic final at 4, then I'm going home to sleep for 15 hours straight. Anyway, I have a fun mani I did last week to show you, it's Essie Where's My Chauffeur topped with a polish I made myself with lots of different shapes and sizes of white glitter & two kinds of iridescent glitter (blue and orangey) with gold and purple shimmer. I loved this mani so so much. I want to try this with BL Old Bill too! I think that combo would be really pretty together:)

One Bad Apple

Hey all! I hope everyone's thanksgivings went well:) mine was great, I got to spend a nice week with the family, and I was in charge of the deserts for Thanksgiving dinner, so I had fun with that (if you're wondering, I made a maple & roasted pear cheesecake and a banana split brownie pie). Anyway, I have an older polish from 2Chix to show you today, One Bad Apple. I wore it on top of Essie Bikini So Teeny and I loved the combination! I just used one coats of OBA here, and I had no problems at all:)

Twinsie Tuesday: Halloween Inspired!

Hey lovelies! Sorry about the late post, I'm currently stuck in California, waiting out the hurricane on the East Coast. I pray everyone's doing well over there!! :/ I came to Cali for a wedding [which was amazing!] and my plane back got cancelled, so... here I am! Worse places to be, right? ;] Anyway, today I have my Halloween inspired mani to show you today. I planned on wearing this on actual Halloween, but I don't have a good blood red polish with me here. #nailpolishproblems. I've seen this over on a lot of polish blogs recently and I have no idea who came up with this idea [let me know if you do!], but I loved the idea and figured I could totally get away with this! So here's my blood dripping mani using Essie's Clutch Me if You Can on bare nails.

Heehee.. I love this one! So perfect and really really easy. I just did mine with one end of a bobby pin:]

Go look at my Twinsie's manis today to get spooked out!

A Palate Cleanser

I've been posting [and wearing] a ton of glitters lately, so I felt the need to wear a palate cleanser mani for a little. 3 coats of Essie Marshmallow + 1 coat Revlon Calla Lily.

Isn't this pretty?? Soft white nails are one of my favorite looks, especially after a butt-ton of glitter haha.

Starlight and Sparkles Review [Part 1]

Hello all! I have half of the lovely polishes I got to review from Starlight and Sparkles. I've ordered from this shop before, and I'm a big fan of all the duochrome shimmers and glitters! I'm going away for the weekend and I definitely plan on wearing Unicorn Tears ! I wore Dragon Scales in August for a long weekend away, and it held up so so well. I didn't have any chipping and really minimal tip wear. I usually can't comment on how long a polish wears [I change my polish too much! haha], but I can definitely recommend these.

Din [over Essie Mesmerize]

Din is a duochrome glitter topcoat that "shifts through red, orange, gold, and green". It's also probably my favorite combination of these :] It really warmed up the blue base. I saw more orange and gold more than any other color and then some green was second runner up. Din is a subtle way to get some soft sparkle on your nail. Over black, it's definitely more of a dramatic effect, but I really wanted to see what these could do!

Splash Dream [over Essie Clutch Me if You Can]

Splash Dream is a really gorgeous chunky shimmer, "pink to gold, flashing violet at the extreme of the color range". I saw a lot of the pink-purple flashes and then when I tilted my hand around, I got some of that pretty gold to warm up the polish.

Ever Blue [over Zoya Song]

This has similar shimmer to Splash Dream, that duochrome-y, chunky shimmer. Ahh, so pretty. This is described as "blue to violet, flashing pink at the extreme of the color range". I mostly saw blue, then some purple, but I didn't get any pink over this base.

These were all smooth, formula wise. Super easy to use :] And you get a TON of shimmer and glitter onto the nail in one coat. Go to Starlight and Sparkles to take a look at all the GORGEOUS polishes she has!

Falling for Fall Polishes

So.. I think I went a little overboard on these;] The lovely Ash from Art Evolve got together a little group of girls to show their favorite summer to fall transition polishes. And basically what happened last night is that I started swatching and I just couldn't stop! So you get a ton of pictures today..

KBShimmer No Whine Left: I love the vampy base with the sparkly blue glitters, it really combines summer and fall for me.

Orly Emberstone: This orange is amazing! And the touch of coral makes it perfect for this time of year. Also, look at that shimmer!!

Zoya Toni: So Oxblood is the big color this season and this is a little bit of oxblood, a little bit of purple. It's one of my new favorites, I love it so hard.

NOPI For Gold Time's Sake: The 3 shimmering polishes in this collection are so so pretty. The color shifting shimmer is just ridiculous! And I love the olive-y base color too.

OPI Ski Teal We Drop: This was the polish that got me in to nail polish & blogs!! Clearly it's in a special place in my heart. Also, it's just flat out pretty.

China Glaze Exotic Encounters: I think this color is so great for transitioning from summer to fall. It's bright, but a little dutsy, and on the greener side of teal.

BB Couture Busty Bombshell: Olive green shimmer with that signature BB Couture micro glitter? Yes PLEASE. Love.

Alta Costura Vernis Tigress: This is a fun and happy orange, but the mix of black glitters in there also really works for Halloween!

Essie Cocktail Bling: I really like this polish, it makes me feel so calm and cozy :] Great for the incoming chill in the air!

Orly Smolder: I'm already predicting that this will be my most worn fall polish this year. I couldn't stop staring at it when I swatched it!! It literally GLOWS. I'm almost positive I'll be wearing this during Thanksgiving. And probably every other week. Gah!!!

Nostalgic Lacquer Date at Midnight with Nosferatu: The name is kind of dumb and long, but the polish is really great. I love the shade of those magenta glitters in there,  and combined with the grey jelly base, it's like a sneaky glam.

Joe Fresh Moss with Dollish Polish Urban Camo: YESYESYES. I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOOOOVE Urban Camo and I think Moss is the perfect underwear polish. Just.. Neon green, gold, white, & black glitter perfection. I can't even. I need to wear this again now. I was actually upset I had to take this off.

KBShimmer Witch Way?: This is like a purple holo version of Essie SSN. So it's better in my book. It just looks like space to me, if space were purple. [Sidenote, I read somewhere that space tastes like raspberries. I seriously want to taste space so bad right now.]

Lacquistry Leaf Piles Make Me Smile: If Smolder is gonna be my Thanksgiving mani, this would definitely be a close second. Such a pretty shimmery base, and the whole feel of this is really autumnal.

Pahlish Ace of Fours: This took a little more loving to get on the nail [about 3 heavier coats], but I think it's worth it. There's a shimmer in there that, added to those teeny shard glitters, make this whole polish twinkle, like snow.

Essie Bobbing for Baubles: Dark blue-grey perfection. I always feel stylish when I'm wearing this.

China Glaze It's Alive: This is the most perfect Halloween polish basically ever. I love how this looks on me, but also, it's so well executed. Amazing formula and so. packed. with glitter.

Cult Nails Spontaneous: A greyed-purple with seriously gorgeous purple tiny glitters. The addition of glitter definitely makes it unique, and the shade really says fall to me.

So there you have it! My top 18 picks for fall. I can't wait to wear the crap out of these polishes, they make me so ridiculously happy. But seriously, go right now and get Smolder and Urban Camo and It's Alive and Emberstone. You'll be a happier polish-er;] Which of these was your favorite??
