First Guest Post!

Hello all! Today's guest post comes from the wonderful Jenna from I'm Still Thinking :]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well!
First, I want to say Thank You to Sarah for having me a as a guest poster. For those who don’t know me, I’m Jenna from I’m Still Thinking… I was so happy when Sarah asked for volunteers to guest post. I love helping out!
So when Sarah first asked for volunteers I really wracked my brain trying to think of the perfect mani. I never did come up with an idea. I had about a million camp related ideas, but never got around to trying them. :O/
GEDC0044
I had been wanting to try this mani for a while and after I did it I knew I wanted to use it for this post. Sorry, I notice a couple tips look a bit ragged…I think there may have been a stray flakie or two O.o
GEDC0046
I am not your standard french tip kinda girl. I am normally anti-french tip, lol. But from the moment I first laid eyes on Barielle Buddha-ful I knew it was meant for a french tip mani on me. It is a very sheer nude polish with green/blue flakies.
GEDC0048
The gold was a last minute touch to cover up my shakey tip lines, but I really think it goes great with this mani.

I know this is a completely anti-camping mani, but it turned out so good I couldn’t resist using it for this post. I hope ya’ll enjoyed it. Hurry back Sarah…we miss you a lot <3

Thank you so much for your post, Jenna!! <3 I am LOVING that Barielle flakie!

Light as Air + Princess Cut

Hi all! I got some epic nail mail today, so I'll have to swatch those really soon:] But for now, I have a combination I did when I first nubbinized my nails [it was a sad day]. I have shorter nails naturally, but I got some AWFUL peeling a little while ago, and finally broke the nail on my thumb and just decided to go to town with my file hahaha. My nails are definitely longer now, and [knock on wood] no signs of peeling! Yay! I will admit to really being hard on my nails though. So I'm trying to remedy that a little.

Anyway, let's talk polish. My favorite pastels are light purple and mint green, I wear them so often in the spring and I ALWAYS have these on my toes in the summer. China Glaze Light as Air is a favorite of mine, I love it a lot. I have on 2 coats here with 1 coat of Sally Hansen Princess Cut

May the odds be EVER in your favor!

HI HUNGER GAMES IS TONIGHT AND I'M SO EXCITED I THINK I'M GONNA DIE.

...okay. I'm a huge Hunger Games fangirl and I've read the books probably 5 or 6 times through and I'm sooooo excited to see the movie tonight. Anyway, here's my sad story about this mani: I can't do nail art. Like.. at all. so instead, I layer, and franken, and layer some more, and sometimes do some different techniques. I was going to do a layering mani for the movie [surprise, surprise haha], so I tried out 1 coat Sally Hansen Red Carpet [a CG Ruby Pumps dupe], with 1 coat of Milani Red Sparkle [new version], and 1 coat of NYX Gilded Glitter and it was really pretty, but screamed RED a little too much. So I decided to go with a little something different for me.

Here's 1 coat of China Glaze's Smoke and Ashes [from the HG Collection], and then a reverse gradient with NYX Gilded Giltter, Milani Red Sparkle, and 1 more time through with GG.

I actually really like this a lot. It reminds me of a fire and ashes flickering into the night sky. I'll be doing my housemate's nails for the movie, too:] So maybe I'll show you those soon!

What do you think of my Hunger Games nails? There are some AMAZING nail art manis out there to check out, wayyyy better than mine haha.

Also, guys, I've been reading your entries for my giveaway, and seriously, your custom franken ideas are AMAZING!! Love them so much!! A tiny few aren't do-able for me, but the rest seem so pretty and inspired and wonderful:] I'm thinking about doing a second place just so I can see more of your beautiful franken ideas come to life! Just thought you should all know haha.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaack;]

Hello lovelies! I'm back from LA and I've missed everyone! Okay, quick story, I had a dream last night that I was looking for a certain polish I need to franken with and it was out of stock everywhere [even though it's an easy to find polish]. Weird! I guess Basemageddeon is getting to me? I mean, I don't use lacquer base [I've thought about it though.. guess it won't be happening for a while!], I just franken with existing polish + loose glitters. I did order a tiny amount of base recently just to try it out, but anything made with that will probably made for friends/a giveaway or something. Anyway, I'm sure you want to see some polish! I did this look last week and surprisingly loved it! I'm proud of myself, I'm wearing more reds and now browns and working on pinks:] Woo! Here's 1 thick coat of Sally Hansen Bittersweet + 1 coat of Essie As Gold as it Gets.

I'm loving the little red glints in the shimmer here.. What are your personal "out-there" polishes? Mine are red, brown, and pink.. Weird, since I LOVE rocking bright glitters and crazy patterns. Some taupes also intimidate me sometimes, too.

Twinsie Tuesday: Jelly Sammiches

Hi! So I'm a complete doy and didn't read the whole line for our Twinsie Tuesday theme & thought it was just jelly [not jelly sandwich]. Soooo I redid my swatches and everything haha. I apologize for the lateness!!

Anyway, here's 2 coats of Revlon Royal [my favorite blue ever], 1 coat Sally Hansen Glass Slipper, and 1 coat of a frankened jelly with a little bit of Royal and a whole lot of clear to cap it off:]

The idea for this mani came from the awesome blog, Chalk Board Nails !

Make sure you check out all the lovely manis my other twinsies are doing today:
