Guest Post from Amanda of Amandalandish!

Hi all you seers of Sarah swatching!
(Corny, I know, I know.)

I'm Amanda from Amandalandish and I have the absolute pleasure of guest posting on Sarah's blog while she's away.  I absolute adore Sarah, her frankens, and her general enthusiasm about everything so I tried to find a polish that resonated with her blog.

I think I found the perfect polish!  Flormar 04, sent by my European swap buddy, Ruth, is an absolute gem of a polish.  Talk about enthusiasm, this polish just screams happy, doesn't it?  I think of it as the older sister of China Glaze Riveting, only without the reference to child gladiators.  Anyways, despite the fact that the swatch appears slightly more orange, I would actually consider 04 to be a coral-leaning color, which suits me fine since I love both shades.

In the bottle, however, 04 is practically swimming with gold flakies and there's an actual glow emanating from the glass which you can slightly make out under my middle finger in the swatch.  On the nail, sadly, the flakies just don't translate and are eaten up by the coral creme.  While this is certainly a shimmer laden polish, it lacks the pizzazz it advertises in the bottle.  I still very much enjoy this color and think it's just perfect for the year of Tangerine Tango.

This is two perfect coats.

The one thing I must say about Flormar is that their formula and brush are perfection!  The polish is never runny and is just a pleasure to apply.  It bums me out that more of these fantastic brands are not offered in the US.

My thanks to Sarah for giving me the opportunity to share this polish and brand with you lovely ladies.  Hope you enjoy and come visit me in Amandaland one of these days!

Twinsie Tuesday: Best Bargain Polish

Hi all! Today's TT theme is our best bargain polish. This was a really hard one  for me, but in my head this wasn't the cheapest polish I've ever gotten. This polish was on sale when I got it, and it's also one of my favorite polishes, so that's what makes it a bargain in my mind haha. Revlon Runway Pearl is 1. a repeat polish [sorry!] and 2. an amazing off white. I'm in loove with the shimmer!

Then I put on a coat of Girly Bits January Morning! I love the contrasting shimmer here:]

Check out the other Twinsie's bargain polishes!

Another Guest Post :D

This post comes from Ash from Art Evolve, one of the most talented nail artists I've ever seen!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello dear readers! This is Ashesela from over at Art Evolve. When Sarah asked if any of us Twinsie Tuesday gals would like to do a guest post, I said yes! :D Sarah is a really wonderful person who runs a fabulous blog, and it really is my pleasure to be able to help her while she is away. :D For this manicure I used a base of China Glaze Holly-Day. I took my bottle of China Glaze Twinkle Lights and applied several coats onto a plastic sandwich bag. When it was dry, I cut out shapes and stuck them to my nails, then added a generous amount of top coat to keep the shapes in place and seal them on top of the green.

I love doing this!! It is seriously fun and easy using this technique, and if you haven't tried it before, I heartily suggest it!! :D Thank you so much for letting me do a guest post Sarah, and we look forward to your return!! :D -Ashesela

Fire!!!!

..in Taco Bell? Not gonna lie, I don't completely get the name of this, but I REALLY love the color! 2 coats of Fire in the Taco Bell from Pahlish

The color combinations in this make my heart melt! And that chunky gold shimmer, just look at it. I do have to say, Pahlish polishes are among my favorite indies both in the color and formula categories. They're generally really pigmented and have a terrific glitter payoff! So no complaints here:]

First Guest Post!

Hello all! Today's guest post comes from the wonderful Jenna from I'm Still Thinking :]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well!
First, I want to say Thank You to Sarah for having me a as a guest poster. For those who don’t know me, I’m Jenna from I’m Still Thinking… I was so happy when Sarah asked for volunteers to guest post. I love helping out!
So when Sarah first asked for volunteers I really wracked my brain trying to think of the perfect mani. I never did come up with an idea. I had about a million camp related ideas, but never got around to trying them. :O/
GEDC0044
I had been wanting to try this mani for a while and after I did it I knew I wanted to use it for this post. Sorry, I notice a couple tips look a bit ragged…I think there may have been a stray flakie or two O.o
GEDC0046
I am not your standard french tip kinda girl. I am normally anti-french tip, lol. But from the moment I first laid eyes on Barielle Buddha-ful I knew it was meant for a french tip mani on me. It is a very sheer nude polish with green/blue flakies.
GEDC0048
The gold was a last minute touch to cover up my shakey tip lines, but I really think it goes great with this mani.

I know this is a completely anti-camping mani, but it turned out so good I couldn’t resist using it for this post. I hope ya’ll enjoyed it. Hurry back Sarah…we miss you a lot <3

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you so much for your post, Jenna!! <3 I am LOVING that Barielle flakie!

Up in the Air

As you read this, I'll be flying somewhere over PA, I'd guess. It took me SO LONG to pack, but I did it! And I'm on my merry way to California for another summer at camp:] I'm incredibly excited for the next 5 weeks! Anyway, you're here to see some polish, so here you go! KBShimmer's Watercoolor

Looks like the sky, no? This was 3 thin coats, though I have a feeling you could get away with 2 thicker ones! I just hauled a TON of KBShimmer polishes, and they're all pretty much amazing. I want them all!!!!

Twinsie Tuesday: Patriotic Mani

Last TT before I leave! Eeee! This week's TT is in honor of Independence Day or Canada Day, whichever holiday our twinsies celebrate. I'm a pretty big fan of 4th of July, mostly because of the fireworks I think. They're just so pretty!! Those sparkly ones that look like magic rain always get me.. Just too pretty, really.

Anyway, for my patriotic mani, I used China Glaze Poinsettia, a prototype of my American Beauty, and a franken I made while having fun with some left over glitter:]

Without American Beauty as a glitter topper

I think I actually like this more without AB. I'm going to leave you with some pictures of fireworks from my town's firework show last night:]

....I'm in love. While you give me a minute to think about fireworks again, go take a look at my Twinsies patriotic manis:]

My Second to Last Unscheduled Post:[

My departure date is so close!! I can't even believe it. I need to pack like crazy though, I haven't started yet... It's definitely gonna be interesting haha. Usually when I pack, my room looks like a tornado hit it. And deciding what polishes I want to take is next to impossible.. I forget how many indie polishes I've bought in the past year and I want them all with me in California!! I'll be sure to take a picture of my many many trip polishes haha. But for today, you get to see my favorite of the polishes I've made for this collection: Spun Sugar!

The first picture is most accurate to the pink, the last picture most to the blue. I wore this to my sister's graduation:] I'm pretty biased towards it haha, but this is the only one that I kept a full size bottle for myself. And it's definitely going in the Pack for Cali pile:]
