Twinsie Tuesday: the Matte Edition

I'm back, I'm back, I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack! How was everyone's weekend?? I'll be getting all caught up today with reading everyone's posts and comments:]

So for this Twinsie Tuesday, the theme is matte polish. So I thought I'd bust out one of the polishes I won from MariJo of Polish Obsession [thank you!!!<3]. Here's 2 coats of Revlon's Matte Suede Ruby Ribbon:

Okay, so not totally matte, but pretty nonetheless, right? I love mattes with shimmer, and this is no exception. Plus, this kind of color just makes me feel cozy, another reason I love this:] Thank you MariJo!! :D and make sure you all check out the other lovely ladies that are doing Twinsie Tuesday:

Layering with flakies, or how I never want to take this mani off.

I interrupt the OPF series to bring you one of my all time favorite manis ever:

it doesn't translate super well to pictures, but Chuva is a dark blue flakie [with sparse copper flakes mixed in] in a light yellow sheer base.

blurry to show the effect

Finger on the left glossy, the 2 on the right w/ Essie Matte About You

close up of the nail: glossy

close up of the nail: matte

LOOK AT THAT. Dyinggggg. This was absolutely one my my most favorite manis ever. & it was an accident!:] So I got my order from Llarowe in, but I didn't have enough time to change my polish completely, so I put on 2 coats of Ludurana's Chuva [Portuguese for "rain"] on top of my existing mani of one coat BB Couture's Napa Valley Red, with 2 coats of NYX Dorothy. I can't even tell you how pretty this was IRL.

Couple of notes about the Ludurana flakie: it's a polish from Brazil that I got from Llarowe. Okay, completely serious, I cannot believe how AMAZING the customer service at Llarowe is. An amazingly nice woman named Leah Ann runs it all, & she is so incredibly considerate of her customers. Also, shipping is dirt cheap, & I ordered on Friday, it shipped Saturday, I got the polishes in my mailbox by Monday. Plus, Leah Ann was nice enough to contact me via email about certain orders. she's also really active on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Llarowe/126027514153022 . I can't recommend her enough!!

Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow Suede

So I had such a nail fail last night.. I didn't know what to put on: Orly's Emberstone or Milani's Totally Cool? I decided on TC [went with my outfit more haha]. It took 4 coats of polish for it to build up, & I guess I didn't have enough time to let it dry completely :[ So on my way to class, I got all these lovely scrapes & gashes. Ugh. So to make sure that it didn't happen before I went to class today, I put on OPI's Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow Suede, since I knew it would dry really fast!

Love how easy this was to put on & go!
What's your favorite on-the-go polish when you just need to slap something on??
