Belated TT- Neon Gradient

Sorry this is late, guys, but my computer totally pooped out on me and it only works in spurts. So here we are! Anyway, this week's challenge was to get marching orders from another Twinsie! So my orders were from Marisa at Polish Obsession and I was instructed to do a neon gradient! I used Orly Pretty-Ugly, China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle, and Wet n Wild Glowstick.

This was my first successful gradient! And I was totally obsessed, I wore it for 4 whole days. Only when it started chipping did I have the heart to take it off. I just love these 3 polishes together so much. Thank you for this challenge Marisa! I honestly never would have done this mani otherwise:]

Lynnderella Deep Blue Seeing

Hey all! I hope everyone's day is going well:] I have a crazy busy day with classes and everything, so I can't wait to go crash in my room tonight! I just started watching Supernatural at request of my sister [hey, Sandy!], and I'm only like 4 episodes in, but I'm liking it so far. Anyway, I have one of my favorite manis to date to show you today. Lynnderella's Deep Blue Seeing over China Glaze Blue Sparrow.

Finding a base I liked for this was HARD. All of my blues were too dark or too light , but Blue Sparrow was perfect! I loved all the different shades of blue happening and the subtle differences in the shades. And also, my nails looked like neon blue jewels. I got a few compliments on this one, it was definitely an eyecatcher!

What do you think of this pairing? Did I pick a good base??

Twinsie Tuesday: Color Blocking!

I'd like to preface this post by saying that I liked this mani WAY more before I looked at the pictures on my computer... Yeah.

So, this week, our TT challenge is color blocking! I thought I'd do something simple for this, though it definitely could have turned out better. I did a little funky french, freehanded. Tape doesn't work out with me very well haha. Anyway, I did a base of China Glaze Surfin for the Boys and did the tips with Nails Inc Baker Street. I adore orange and blue together! And I'm a big fan of the shimmer vs creme thing going on here.

Uneven tips...

I promise it looks better at an arms-length haha.

I seriously can't wait to see what colors my Twinsies have put together!

Twinsie Tuesday: My Favorite Brand

Happy TT everybody! Today, we had to pick a polish from our favorite brand. I kind of set up this post with my post from yesterday, and I think I've mentioned it before, but China Glaze is absolutely my favorite brand. They have EVERYTHING. Really though. I'm pretty much in love with CG and I fangirl out all the time when looking at their new collections. Honestly, I really think that they do the best job at having unique polishes when it seems like a lot of releases we're seeing are just more of the same. And the formula of their polishes are pretty consistently great. My favorite CG of all time has to be Emerald Sparkle: perfect shade of green plus it's jam packed with glitter heehee. But my absolute favorite shade of the summer has to be Surfin' for the Boys..

Just yes. Brightbrightbright neon coral? Amazing. Hot pink shimmer? Even more amazing. The formula and wear time: the most amazing. I wore this the entire weekend working at my church's festival, and I was really hard on my hands. This wore with no chipping, just some tip wear like on the ring finger. And it was perfectly opaque in 2 coats, like Pink Plumeria. Which is just amazing for a neon. On top of all that, I really liked how this looked on me. In fact, I've had this polish on my toes for almost a week and half now and I plan on putting it on right after this pedi wears haha. It's my perfect summer color, and definitely one I need to take with me on my upcoming trip [more info on that later!].

I'm really interested on seeing what brands my Twinsies like best! Think there are any other CG fangirls out there?? :]

Pink Plumeria

Hi all! It feels like it's been a long time since I've posted about a mainstream polish, huh? I'm on quite the indie streak haha. BUT my other loves this summer are the China Glaze neons. I've had Surfin' for the Boys on my toes since I got it. It's amazing! But today, I have Pink Plumeria from the same collection for you all:] I wasn't sure about this one when I got it, but it's really impressed me. I love the shimmer in the whole collection, it makes the formula better, I think, and adds a lot of interest!

That's 2 coats. and like I said, formula was a dream, ESPECIALLY for a neon! I can't get over how perfect this whole collection is. I can't wait to show you the rest of my picks!

Twinsie Tuesday: Half Moon with Pastel & Neon

This week seriously flew by so fast for me, I can't believe it's Tuesday already! Anyway, the Twinsies were supposed to do a half moon mani using pastel and neon polishes. Now considering I don't really have neon polishes and I also don't have circley stickers, I think this came out well! I cut out the half moon shape using mailing labels and used this neon glitter I have in the works:]

Not the world's prettiest mani, but I like it enough:] The base I have going on underneath this is a jelly sandwich of OPI Care to Danse? and The Hungry Asian's Mumbling.

This is seriously so much better IRL. There's these teeny holographic glitters that look so pretty in the jelly sandwich. and the silver glitters look white, which I also love a lot.

I can't wait to see all the manis my Twinsies came up with!

Sweet Tooth... Be Prepared to Drool.

Hi! As you read this, I'll be taking an Arabic final, so I can almost guarantee you're having more fun than I am ;]  Today I have for you a polish from an AMAZING indie polish seller, Alta Costura Vernis. Look at her sold orders and just TRY not to drool all over your computers haha. Fun fact: I was the very first customer! :D Though this wasn't the one I bought the first time around. Anyway, this is pink, blue, purple, and white matte glitter in a clear base. I put on 3 coats for full coverage [and what you see here], but I can't wait to put it over a pink or blue and possibly rock that as a pedicure! Can you tell how much I love this polish? I can't wait to try the other one that's similar to this, but that's another post for another day... Here's 3 coats of Sweet Tooth:

Do you love it?! I definitely do! It's very Floam-esque in its glitter style. Really amazing combination of colors, too. One downside: I could still see my nail line sometimes and got some shrinking at the tip. So I'll probably just put a coat of ridge filler on next time before the polish.
