Happy Halloween!

So at the time that I'm writing this, Halloween in Jersey might be postponed... Crazy storm, messes everything up! But I do have a Halloween mani to show you today:] It's not nail art, but it's what I had in the vaults, so you get to see the beautiful This is Halloween from LynBDesigns!

The listing says "A gorgeous deep purple base with copper colored duochrome. It's loaded with purple and orange smaller glitters". But seriously, emphasis on the GORGEOUS!! I am in love with this one. The colors go really really well together, & I really love that coppery shimmer in there. Ugh! Just stunning. I got a few of these polishes, & I can't wait to show you the rest!

Twinsie Tuesday: Halloween Inspired!

Hey lovelies! Sorry about the late post, I'm currently stuck in California, waiting out the hurricane on the East Coast. I pray everyone's doing well over there!! :/ I came to Cali for a wedding [which was amazing!] and my plane back got cancelled, so... here I am! Worse places to be, right? ;] Anyway, today I have my Halloween inspired mani to show you today. I planned on wearing this on actual Halloween, but I don't have a good blood red polish with me here. #nailpolishproblems. I've seen this over on a lot of polish blogs recently and I have no idea who came up with this idea [let me know if you do!], but I loved the idea and figured I could totally get away with this! So here's my blood dripping mani using Essie's Clutch Me if You Can on bare nails.

Heehee.. I love this one! So perfect and really really easy. I just did mine with one end of a bobby pin:]

Go look at my Twinsie's manis today to get spooked out!

Guest Post from Chelsea!!

Hello everyone! I'm Chelsea from Nailed and it's my pleasure to be back here again on Sarah's blog with you all. :) I always try to do something glittery and sparkly on my guest posts for Sarah, but this time I thought I'd switch it up a bit and go with some matte glitter!

I could spend--and let's be honest, have spent--hours on Etsy searching for awesome new indie brands. All that time is worth it for that moment when somewhere in a sea of swatches and bottle shots, you stumble across a polish that you fall completely in love with. That's what happened with me and Nail Pattern Boldness Flipping Out Hard. Flipping Out Hard is a mix of neon yellow, blue and green matte glitters in a clear base. This is arguably the polish that put NPB on the indie map and it's easy to see why!

The formula on Flipping Out Hard is a bit thick but not unworkable. I used three coats here and you'll likely want a second coat of topcoat to minimize the grittiness.

This is such a fun polish! It's super neon in person and my camera kind of got freaked out by how vivid the colors truly are. It's definitely a polish people will notice! You can pick up Nail Pattern Boldness on Llarowe.

I hope you all enjoyed having some fun in indie land with me today! Thank you so much for having me back, Sarah! :)

Thank you for this amazing post Chelsea!! Flipping Out Hard is AMAZING!

Twinsie Tuesday: First Swap

Happy Tuesday! Today, we're supposed to show you a polish we got in our first swap... But I can't remember mine for the LIFE of me. However, I did come across 2 polishes from an early swap, so I'm counting it;] These 2 are insanely lovely frankens from the ridiculously talented Ash of Art Evolve!

Guest Post from Meredith!

Hello Everyone! This is Meredith from Polish and Charms! I have a fun, although short, little guest post for you today! This is OPI Fly with an accent nail of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. For the OPI Fly I used 2 coats and for Gargantuan Green Grape I used between 3 and 4, I had a few spots where you could still see visible nail line.  I want to thank Sarah for letting guest post today!!

Thank you so much Meredith! Both those polishes are GORGEOUS and I love them paired like this! <3 i="i" nbsp="nbsp">

Sowwy..?

Hi ladies! So sorry about the lack of posting these past few days, I was insanely busy on Thursday with my choir's fall banquet, then got really sick that night till now. Also, I sliced the pad of my pointer finger pretty badly, so I'm taking it as a sign that the nail gods are displeased. I'll be back tomorrow with some amazing guest posts and a giveaway though!

Guest Post from Jenn!

Hello, loves!

I am so excited to be featured on SeeSarahSwatch!  I really admire Sarah for her talent as a blogger and lacquer mixologist!  Thank you, Sarah, for allowing me to grace your blog!

I have for you...

(natural daylight)

This gorgeous polish is OPI Red Lights Ahead...Where?  This creme lacquer is super opaque and only need two thin coats!  I cannot get over how bright and corally this shade is!  I am loving it for the this wonky, hot weather we are currently experiencing is southern California!

To top off this beauty, I needed to add a bit of sparkle, so I used Miliani Gold Jewel FX!  I really love this combo!!

Thanks you a bunch, Sarah, for letting me come visit, and I hope your nails grow back super quickly!  Breaking nails is no fun!

Thank you so much Jenn for this post!!! <3 i="i" nbsp="nbsp">

Two Triple Layering Experiments

Happy Twinsie Tuesday! Today, we were supposed to use 3 different polishes and layer them to achieve our manis. So I did a couple that I was trying to be unexpected with, but I'm not a 100% happy with any of them. Ah well! Here's some of my attempts haha. Oh and you're only getting 3 fingers, my pinky nail is sad and broken :[

Attempt #1
Sally Hansen Ion [which is gorgeous and what I wore all weekend]

+ Lynnderella Night Shade

+Milani Rad Purple [not thrilled with my application here, but the concept was fun!]

Attempt #2
Zoya Wednesday

+ Literary Lacquers A Midsummer Night's Dream

+ Darling Diva Polish Regulus [it made this weird murky purple...]

I hope my Twinsies had better luck with this than I did! :]

I Make it Rain Leaves!

Hello all:] I have another beautiful Lacquistry to show you all today, I Make it Rain Leaves. I had some trouble figuring out the best way to rock this collection, but I stumbled on Harvest Moon and decided that it would work best with this polish. I used to stay away from wearing glitter over foils [something about the combination always bothered me for some reason..], but after wearing Glass Houses, I'm warming up to the whole thing. So I put on 2 coats of CG Harvest Moon [which is a PERFECT fall color] and then 1 coat of IMiRL.

I love all the colors in IMiRL, they go together so well! Anyway, I'll be having guest posts and backlogged swatches for the next week-ish, I broke some nails pretty badly this weekend:[ I'm hoping the base coat I'm using will hurry up the process!!

Supernova Springs Layered

Happy Friday! I'm currently trying to put off cleaning my mess of a room.. Every time I start mixing polish, I apparently decide that nothing else matters, so it becomes a huge mess of piles everywhere. I'm the worst... haha. So now Supernatural is on and I'm going through the piles in my room in attempts to live like real people do lol. I'd take a picture to show you, but you'd probably shun me from society.

But at least my nails are pretty? I'm still on this huge indie kick [indie sale to come soon haha], and Hare Polish is definitely one of my favorite lines out there. I have almost all of her polishes and they are insanely stunning. This is one of my favorites of hers and I am SO happy with how this mani turned out. Also, there's a leaf on my fingers because my cuticles are angry right now. Pay it no mind;] I wore Supernova Springs over 2 coats of an unnamed Elf polish:]

Also, I'm trying out this larger picture size... Yay or nay? Have a great weekend everyone! <3 p="p">

When the Moon Was a Star...

Okay, so you're about to get some picture SPAM. It's not even funny how many pictures I took of this mani. Not because it was difficult or anything, I just loved all the pictures so much. I want to wear this again right now!!! It was so hard trying to will myself to take it off. It wasn't until the massive chips that I had to:[ But it lasted a pretty long time, so I guess I can't complain too much. The polish in question is, as I'm sure you've figured out, Lynnderella's When the Moon Was a Star [2 coats over Orly Stone Cold, which is gorgeous in its own right]. I'm nuts about this mani. It's just so stinking stunning and I couldn't keep from staring at my nails all day. Definitely looked like a weirdo that day.. Note: it was a little tough to get the shaped glitter out of the bottle with the first coat, but I flipped it upside down before the second coat and it was fine.

I don't think I have more words for this... so have a good Thursday! <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">

Wednesday on Wednesday:]

Hey all! I've been mixing up a storm here for the Etsy shop, I hope to open up again soon:] I can't wait to show you all what I've been up to! Here's a prototype for my next collection, hopefully available in 2 opening's time:]

What do you think?! I need to find an alternative for the tiny glitters, but the general concept will be the same :]

And now for a real mani, I wore Zoya Wednesday with my Just Keep Swimming on top. I rarely wear my own polishes, since I usually keep only a mini bottle for reference and I don't want to use it up, but when I was mixing up JKS, I saw Wednesday in my need-to-wear pile and thought they'd go well together! And though it's not incredibly fall-y, it's bright and happy and I'm a fan! 2 coats Wednesday and 1 JKS. Sorry about my weird pointer finger nail, it chipped on the side and I can't bring myself to file it ALL the way down. So the shape there is a little.. wonky.

What do you think of this combination?? I wish I'd thought of this in the summer lol.

Twinsie Tuesday: Glitterbombs Away!

GLITTER. Yes!! I'm so happy about this week's challenge, it's perfect for my not-so-inner glitter freak. I wanted the brightest, most sparkling mani ever, so I decided on OPI Sparkle-icious topped with Lynnderella One Nutty Fruitcake.

I have every color ever somehow on my nails. In glitter form. YES.

I can't wait to see the manis of my Twinsies!!

BLOOD-UH!

heehee. More Halloween manis! I love October and Halloween and fall so much. All the themed nail polishes make me so happy! And all these colors that are fall-appropriate are so up my alley, it's amazing:] I love all the cozy reds and deep greens and dark browns and murky olives and burnt oranges everywhere you look. Perfection<3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">
Today, I have a pretty gory polish to show you from Pretty and Polished. It reminds me of this video [which is still one of my favorites.. so cute!], so it makes me happy. Here's 3 coats of Blood Clot:

So I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this polish yet. It's definitely extremely interesting and unique, but in some lights, the glitter doesn't entirely show up.. So it looks like a bumpy red creme. I'm pretty sure this is because the glitter is matte and not reflective. BUT when the light catches the polish right, it looks really amazing and really bloody and perfectly gory. Maybe I should layer it? I'm not sure. Does anyone else have this polish? How do you all wear it?

A Palate Cleanser

I've been posting [and wearing] a ton of glitters lately, so I felt the need to wear a palate cleanser mani for a little. 3 coats of Essie Marshmallow + 1 coat Revlon Calla Lily.

Isn't this pretty?? Soft white nails are one of my favorite looks, especially after a butt-ton of glitter haha.
