Ulta-Mate Holiday!

Happy Friday, all! Glad it's the weekend?? I'm so happy, I get to relax!:] What is everyone wearing for the weekend? I currently have on Revlon Royal with Max Factor Fantasy Fire and it's amaaaaaaazing! But that's not what we're here to talk about;] Today, I have China Glaze Ulta-Mate Holiday! This was an Ulta Exclusive and it's a yellow holo glitter. So amazing! I'm not too sure how I feel about this on my skin, but I'm gonna wear it anyway haha. Also, special thanks to Katherine from Haul of Fame for this one! I picked it up from her blog sale:] Here it is with 1 coat Orly Ridge Filler, 2 coats CG UMH, 1 coat Lynnderella Glitter Tamer and 1 coat top coat.

This is really unique to my stash, so even though I'm not sold on the color with my skin, I'm hoarding this!

Holo Red!

So of course I couldn't leave a mani well enough alone, haha. So I haaaaaad to put Hits Speciallita No Olimpo's Hefesto, a linear holographic topcoat. It really transforms your mani, though it's totally not impressive out of the sun haha. Here's 2 coats of Addict with 1 coat of Hefesto on top!

Here it is in indirect lighting.

So basically, LOVE it in the sun, but covers the base color too much in the shade. Thoughts? Is holo your favorite finish? I love it in the sun of course, but I'd rather have something more interesting [like glitter] if I'm not spending all day outside.

Deep Space: a franken

Hello, all!! This week, I'll be showing some frankens that will most probably be on mine and my sister's Etsy shop [coming soon!]. So today I have for you Deep Space [side note: all names are subject to change]. This was my attempt at creating the missing Tony Moly polish from their glittery planet line. This is basically the inverse of the Jupiter one [which is deep purple with large blue holo glitter and small purple glitter]. Deep Space is a deep blue with large purple holo glitter and small blue glitter. And this will be in the shop at some point:] Here it is at 2 coats:

It's more sparkly and a little more vibrant IRL. So what do you think??? Constructive criticism?

Christmas Eve nails

It's a two for one post today!! Yay! Plus some nail art... Yeah, who knew?? Haha, all the AMAZING holiday manis I've seen other ladies post recently inspired me to mix up my manis a little. So for Christmas Eve, I have on Santa hats!

Aren't they cute?? They make me happy, even though they're sooo far from perfect. I used a coat of NOPI Make a Commet-ment, then dotted the hats on with NOPI Orna-ment for Each Other and Sally Hansen Whirlwind White. I also had on Lynnderella's Happy Holo-daze! a few days ago:

Two coats over Wet n Wild Black Creme

Blurred a bit for that holo glitter

Everything everyone's saying about this is true: it's a bajillion times more amazing version of Party Hearty. lovelovelove it.

What are you all wearing for the holidays??

Dare to Wear Dancing Shoes

Hello!! How was everybody's long weekend?? Hope you rested up:] Today I have for you:

glitterrrrrrrrrrr!!! Gah, this glitter is actually insane, with how bright it is and the holo glitter and the hex glitter and the bar pieces... No words. Just get this. Like now. This is 2 coats, the formula's pretty thick for mine. I'm so completely in love with this, it's not even healthy.

Plus, it gets "Dancing Queen" stuck in my head all day.. You're welcome.

My picks from Orly's Mineral FX Collection

So I only picked up 4 of Orly's Mineral FX Fall 2011 Collection. Rock the World didn't seem much like my kind of polish, & Rococo A-Go-Go looked too similar to Zoya Valerie [which I have already]. So here are my picks!

Emberstone: 2 coats
Emberstone is insanely gorgeous. It looks more coral in the bottle, but pulls really orange on me with this corally/red fleck.

Rock Solid: 2 coats
Rock Solid is a gunmetal shimmer with lots of holo glitter packed in there.

Rock-It: 3 coats for pictures, but I got away with 2 in real life.
Rock-It is a purple-y magenta with a gold douchrome in the bottle, but on the nail, it translates more as insane sparkle!

& Stone Cold: 2 coats
Stone Cold is an electric blue jam packed with flecked glitter. It's so so eye-catching & beautiful.

Application on all of these was pretty good, 2 coats & you're done! It did take a little to get Stone Cold & Rock Solid off my nails due to all that glitter, but I think it's worth it.

Thanks for reading!! :]
