Updates

Hi all! So I want to start by apologizing about not posting/commenting regularly, this semester is really kicking my butt. And the Etsy shop is doing pretty well and keeping me busy! So I wanted to show you a little bit of what I've been concocting, as well as what to expect for the next few days.

First, here's what I've been working on [the setting on my camera doesn't do these justice at all, so they're kind of washed out!]:

Second, I'll be away from tomorrow night until Monday night, so I'm hoping to have some awesome posts scheduled and ready to go by tonight:] And I'll get all caught up on my commenting! I promise haha.

Third, I hit 200 followers, so be on the lookout for a giveaway next week! I have some ideas right now, and I can't wait to have another one for you all!

Blue Valentine: Picture Heavy!

Happy Valentine's Day, everybody! I'm always a little sad on V-Day, since I can't be with the boy, but it's okay! Today, I have my alternate boyfriend...

Yes, that's a cutout of Ryan Gosling's face on a Popsicle stick. I made it for one of my housemates last week, and he's been popping up all over our house for the past few days. I decided to steal him away today for your viewing pleasure:]

In polish news, I wore a franken of mine that I named Blue Valentine [this post is all coming together now!] for the first half of Valentine's day. I'll show you my second mani tomorrow:] But anyway. Here's way too many pictures of Blue Valentine [at 3 coats, for the most part]

Get through that?! Sorry about that, I just couldn't narrow it down [plus I got a little lazy..oops!]. The dark blue base really goes well with the color shifting shimmer in this, especially the coppery bits. Then that green comes out and it's like a whole new polish! I'm torn about this one. I want to put it up on the Etsy shop, because I feel like I never wear my frankens more than once [I'm weird about them] and I want someone else to love it, but I really really like it! And I'm not sure if I can make another one of these [the color shifting pigment thingies are expensive!] Advice?:] and what are your plans tonight?? I'm making myself brownies!

A Red?? Again?!

Yes, it's true! I have on a red! Again! Who am I?! Although it isn't really much of a deviation from my last red. It's actually a dupe! Today I have on LA Girl Rockstar Addict, a wine jelly with crushed gold flakies.... just like Sally Hansen Fireberry Red! Would you look at that? So this isn't so much a normal post, but more of a comparison.

Addict is a little lighter in color with bigger, more visible gold flakies.

FbR is deeper, but not as blingy.

So can you guess who won my showdown??

........... Addict!! Because it's just more sparkly, and I'm basically a magpie. I put Addict on right after I took the comparison swatches off, but I totally forgot to take a picture of it before putting something on top. But trust me, it's gorgeous now too:]

Yay!! It's open!! We just have a few colors and earrings right now, but there will hopefully be scarves, earrings, and prayer ropes up by tonight with more colors coming soon!! There will also be necklaces coming really soon with rings shortly after that. We are so excited about this shop, since it gives an excuse to make more of what we love!! Haha, we hope you love it as much as we do, and thank you so much on a personal level for the encouragement to sell my frankens. You know who you are! <3
