Twinsie Tuesday's Hyped Up Polish

Happy Twinsie Tuesday:D I love these days, they're seriously so much fun to see what all the other Twinsies have chosen.

I had a hard time choosing a polish for today's theme. There have been polishes that disappointed me, but I generally get rid of them pretty soon after I swatch it and hate it or something. But I saw Sally Hansen's Mystic Lilac and realized that I literally never wear this polish, because 1. the formula is kind of weird in my bottle [too watery but also gets really thick? I don't even know how]. & 2. the color just does not look good on me. So here's Mystic Lilac:

Love the shimmer, hate the base color. It just looks dirty on me. sad panda. I really wanted to love this polish... Oh well.

Evolution of a Mani

Hi everyone! How's Thursday treating you? The weather is pretty blah here today, but I'm wearing a new dress, so I'm in a good mood;] Also, I have on Essie Ruby Slippers and it's making me happy everytime I look at it. I need to show you all this mani asap. But for today, I have a mani I wore last week. It started off as me wanting to franken a light taupey purple [which I named Puzzlement] and then I thought "Woah, this kinda reminds me of the base color for Sally Hansen Mystic Lilac. So I wanted an amped up version of ML so I put flakies! Then more flakies! Then a glitter! Then a shimmer! So it's an involved mani, but I loved it a lot. I wore it for quite a while actually! It was strange for me haha. Here it is:

2 coats of Puzzlement [so named bc of it's tendency to change color in different lighting]...

...plus 1 coat of HITS Jazz...

...plus 1 coat of Finger Paints Motley...

...plus 1 coat of Lynnderella Connect the Dots...

...plus 1 final coat of Pure Ice Heart Breaker!!

Whew! For those keeping count, that's 6 layers of polish, plus base coat and top coat. But it dried pretty fast, so no complaints:]

What do you think? Fugly or pretty? Or pretty-ugly? haha
