Hello, dear readers! I'm just thrilled to be guest posting for Sarah today! I've recently found myself to be strongly attracted to purple base polishes with lots of purple and blue glitter in them. I can't seem to stop myself from buying them!

Here's a comparison of four relatively easy to find polishes that show case how pretty this combo is!

From left to right, we have Sinful Colors Frenzy, Finger Paints Movie in the Park, Jessica Life of the Party, and Jordana Glitters LA City Nights. These are obviously not dupes, but they have definite similarities.

Here is one coat of each glitter on a swatch stick. All of the polishes except Life of the Party actually have a clear base. Life has a sheer purple base and is also different with its holographic glitter. LA City Nights has the biggest glitter and the brightest colors. I think that's why I'm drawn to it most. I also like the lighter blue color of the glitter in Frenzy. Finally, Movie in the Park is pretty interesting with its all micro glitter. It evenl looks like it might be matte glitter, but it's so small, it's hard to tell.

Here is two coats of each glitter. All of the polishes build up really nicely after two coats. I think I can definitely say that Movie in the Park is a matte glitter, which is just awesome. In fact, they're all awesome. I love the coverage each gives with two coats. I think they might even be wearable without underwear, which is always fun for glitters.

Twinsie Tuesday: Animal Inspired

Happy Tuesday, all! Today's theme is an animal inspired mani, and since we all know I'm absolutely terrible at nail art, you get a loose interpretation of "animal inspired". I ordered a bunch of minis from Hit Polish [found here and here], so this is the first I'll be showing you:] Here's 2 coats of Revlon Rainforest and 2 coats of Hits Polish TMNT [aka Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles].

Hey all! I'm Chelsea from over at Nailed and I'm thrilled to be guest posting here today! When I set out to pick a polish for my guest post for Sarah, one word instantly came to mind: GLITTER. It's what Sarah would want. ;) So I picked an awesome one to show you: China Glaze Fireside Glow, a rose gold holographic glitterbomb.

Fireside Glow was an Ulta-exclusive holiday polish last year. Seeing that the new "Ulta-exclusive" OPIs were blatant rebottles really reminded me of how awesome the CG Ulta exclusives were. They were not only beautiful, but actually exclusive! Fireside Glow does remind me a bit of I Herd That from the new On Safari Collection, but they're just similar ideas, not dupes. I Herd That has much more gold glitter and the coppery glitter isn't as rose-toned as it is in Fireside Glow.

I used three coats here and the formula is very nice and cooperative. I didn't even have to do any clean-up on my left hand, which is always a huge plus!

If you come across this polish--or any of the other two Ulta-exclusive CG holiday polishes--online or in a swap, I'd say they're well worth picking up! All of them are truly gorgeous. Thank you Sarah for having me and I hope you all enjoyed some adventures in glitter with me today!

Hello polish lovers, I'm ChiChi. I'm so excited and honored to be doing a guest post for Sarah!

Since Sarah will be away at camp, I decided to do a manicure that makes me think of camp. Even though the only camp I've been to is dance camp for my high school dance team, the first thing I think of when I hear camp is making s'mores over a fire. This is my take on s'mores. For this manicure I used ICE Cafe' au Lait, NYC Little Italy and Sinful Colors Nirvana. My graham cracker color is a little off but I think it turned out pretty neat.

I know Sarah is a glitter lover and so am I.  So I knew my mani had to have something with glitter in it ;0).  I decided to wear a recent release from The Hungry Asian, Mint Condition.  Mint Condition is a beautiful mint green creme with red and blue microglitter.  So gorgeous!! 

I then decided to tape have the nail diagonally with Sinful Colors Mint Apple, another one of my favorite mint green polishes.  I used Growth Spurt as a base and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

I decided to leave my thumb with just Mint Condition as an accent nail.  I really loved the way this manicure turned out.  Such a fun look!

Hi all you seers of Sarah swatching!
(Corny, I know, I know.)


I'm Amanda from Amandalandish and I have the absolute pleasure of guest posting on Sarah's blog while she's away.  I absolute adore Sarah, her frankens, and her general enthusiasm about everything so I tried to find a polish that resonated with her blog.


I think I found the perfect polish!  Flormar 04, sent by my European swap buddy, Ruth, is an absolute gem of a polish.  Talk about enthusiasm, this polish just screams happy, doesn't it?  I think of it as the older sister of China Glaze Riveting, only without the reference to child gladiators.  Anyways, despite the fact that the swatch appears slightly more orange, I would actually consider 04 to be a coral-leaning color, which suits me fine since I love both shades.  


In the bottle, however, 04 is practically swimming with gold flakies and there's an actual glow emanating from the glass which you can slightly make out under my middle finger in the swatch.  On the nail, sadly, the flakies just don't translate and are eaten up by the coral creme.  While this is certainly a shimmer laden polish, it lacks the pizzazz it advertises in the bottle.  I still very much enjoy this color and think it's just perfect for the year of Tangerine Tango.


This is two perfect coats.

The one thing I must say about Flormar is that their formula and brush are perfection!  The polish is never runny and is just a pleasure to apply.  It bums me out that more of these fantastic brands are not offered in the US.
