Hi! Another quick post today, but I also have another franken for you! It's called Paint the Roses Red, a reference to Alice in Wonderland. It's my favorite book, I think. I wrote my senior paper in high school about it, actually haha. It just makes me happy:] Anyway, this is another franken that'll be for sale later in the week:]
2 coats of Paint the Roses Red.
Pardon my broken thumb nail, I liked the glitter here the best though.
There's tiny neon pink glitter, small black, red and purple holo, medium red hexes, and big white hexes in a deep pink jelly base:]
It's Friiiiiiiiiiiiidayyyyyyyyyyyy! I couldn't be happier, I'm so glad it's the weekend haha. It's been a long, long week. To celebrate, I have lots of new frankens to show you:] I think for the ones that after these next few days, I'll do an order form type thing of the polishes that need suspension base, so I know how much to get [and also how much glitter] and then the second I get the base, I can ship them out to you! Sound good? Also, order form may not be the phrase I'm looking for... Interest form? I don't know, we'll figure it out haha.
This one is called Leviathan, it just looks like a deep sea creature to me. There's huge holo green hexes and black hexes and smaller green squares and hexes and emerald hex glitter and tiny black ones and also some small holo glitter and to top it all off, small neon green glitter. All in a shimmery blue base. It's a busy polish! I think it looks a little more blue overall than the pictures, they picked up the green a bit too much. How do you like it?? [3 thin coats shown here]
Hi hi hi. I have a GIANT paper due tomorrow about Arabic grammar aka I want to sleep forever and never ever hear about the three gender forms of Arabic. I'm gonna throw a franken at you instead: Strawberry Limade! [now I'm thirsty].
3 coats. There's neon pink, neon green, and black glitter in a really lightly tinted pink base:]
I'll be selling this [and others like it] as soon as I can get more base! Which is looking to be around the beginning of May :D
It's a beauuuuuutiful day in Jersey, and I have a massive paper to write:[ I have one due Thursday and another on Sunday, and then finals start right after. Booo. And after that, I'm sleeping for about 2 straight weeks ;]
Haha, anyway, my skittle mani was actually done last week, before I looked at this week's theme. I was in a good mood and painted my nails bright, summery colors! I didn't have time to change them before my choir concert, oops! But a friend in choir told me they looked like a circus:] So here's my circus nails for Twinsie Tuesday!
I wanted them pretty random, so I had no real pattern in mind when I did these.
Sally Hansen: Barely Bluebell. 2 coats, great formula! This is from the Prabal Gurung mini collection for spring, and I'm in love.
Sally Hansen: Buttercup. This is 3 coats, had a little bit of streaking and it's more jelly-like than a straight creme polish. It's definitely my yellow of the summer.
Fun fact: yellow is my favorite color, but I hardly own any yellow polishes.
Revlon; Fearless. This is a tomato-y red, and it's bright and cheery and I can so see it on my toes on the beach. 2 coats!
Mondays are no fun, so my solution is to show you a ton of glitter;] I recently ordered 4 polishes from Paris Sparkles, and they are veritable glitter BOMBS. All of these are shown at 2 coats [except Copper Sunset, which was 3 coats]. Formula on all of these was good, especially for thick, full-coverage glitters.
I'm a huge, huge fan of this. It's crazy vibrant, and super sparkly, and has a lot of depth to it. The second picture shows how insanely glowy it is. This is a little thicker than the rest, but not too bad. My favorite part is the larger hex glitter in it. It was a nice surprise in the polish:]
This is what's on my toes right now:] The gold glitter is REALLY reflective and I'm obsessed with the square glitter in it. I loooove the color of the jelly base, it looks nice on my skin tone and in my opinion, it's a great shade for summer!
This is definitely the most different of ones I've tried, it has a shimmery base instead of a jelly and the glitters are really really reminiscent of Mardi Gras. I need to swatch this over a dark purple, I wonder how it'll look!
Hi all! I have 2 polishes to show you today not a lot of talking. Just taking a break from my paper to post these:] First up is HITS Rocker Chick, which is admittedly really cool looking, but I thought it would be full coverage like the other glitters in this line. I couldn't really find swatches of this online, but my bottle doesn't look like this at all. So maybe I got a weird bottle? Idk. It's definitely more of a layering polish for me. Anyway, this is 3 coats:
It was pretty gritty, so I have Glitter Tamer + TC on this. There was also a few random iridescent glitters in this. I doubt I'll wear it like this again, it looks cool close up, but just black from a distance.
This is Pretty and Polished's Swing. I have to say, I think Pretty & Polished is my all time favorite indie polish seller. She has SO MANY polishes to choose from, restocks often, seriously has something for everyone, and has great great customer service. I love it! I can't rave enough about her. I have more of her polishes than any other indie seller.
About Swing: this is a pink I can love [shown at 3 coats]. The white glitter is genius in this, and it has a lot of depth. That being said, I'd love more black glitter, but let's be honest: I'll be wearing this a lot this summer regardless haha.
Woooo, happy happy Friday!! This is my day off before working on a 20 page paper this weekend, so I'm probably gonna franken and open shop [fingers crossed], but don't quote me on that ;] I also have a shorter essay to write up, but that shouldn't be too hard. You'll be seeing a little less of me in the next 2 weeks due to finals and papers and projects, but I'll definitely be here at least every other day! Promise haha.
Anyway, I have 5 Darling Diva Polishes to show you today! I like these a lot, they're really glittery and there's a large array of colors to choose from:] Also, you can wear some on their own, and some are more geared towards toppers.
Look at the giiiiiiiiiiiiiant black hex!
Some of the polishes dry matte due to the suspending agent, but plus side: easy to make glossy, easy to place glitters, and fast drying:]
Here it is glossy, 3 coats on its own, 1 coat over Cult Nails Iconic, 1 over Essie Bordeaux, 1 over Sally Hansen Red Carpet
3 on its own, 1 over Nails Inc Baker Street, 1 over Milani Rad Purple, 1 over Essie Lapis of Luxury
This is my favorite!! Ahhhhhhhhhh! It's like Sinful Colors Cinderella, but with glitter.
3 on its own, 1 over Love & Beauty Baby Blue, 1 over Essie Lapis of Luxury, 1 over Brucci Sweet Dreams...Carol [what a weird/creepy name!]
3 coats on its own, 1 over Nails Inc Baker Street, 1 over Essie Bordeaux, 1 over Milani Rad Purple
Okay, now for the talking. I really love these, but especially Unicorn Bath and Fire Dragon. I think I need a better base color for Water Dragon, and I really like Grand Dragon [or Pendragon] over Rainforest. The matte base thing in some of these was a little weird to me at first, but I definitely like it more than I thought.
Some dislikes: some of the glitter was too chunky [see my ring finger in Fire Dragon], so I'm not sure how I feel about that. I wore Fire Dragon as a full mani and I got a giant chunky hex glitter on 2 fingers, and 2 coats of Glitter Tamer kind of spackled it down, but didn't make it smooth. To be honest, I didn't mind it, but if you have an aversion to texture, beware! Also, some of the large hex iridescent glitter completely bled out and was just completely clear [I think in Fire Dragon and Grand Dragon]. Didn't make a difference in the long run, just an observation.
A note about customer service: shipping time was fast, and communication was great:] She offers to make any polish in the shop into a mini also, which I loved when ordering these. Indie minis make my life haha.
